Abington Man Charged in Disabled Brother's Death

An Abington man has been charged with third degree murder and other charges in the death of his brother, who had downs syndrome, the Montgomery County District Attorney reports. 71-year-old Harry Gramlich called police on October 18th, 2020. Officers found his brother, 52-year-old Timothy Gramlich, dead on the second floor of their home on Edgehill Road. He was emaciated and lying on a soiled mattress in a room covered in bodily fluids. Timothy's autopsy in January, 2021 found that he weighed only 76 pounds at the time of his death.

Harry is being held on $100,000 bail, and a preliminary trial has been scheduled for April 28th.
